For the Reality TV project, I'm working with Sarah Baxter. Here's our brainstorming:
- Alpaca vs. Llama
It's similar to the Amazing Race, but the contestants have to either ride alpacas or llamas to their given destination where they will find clues to advance to the next round. The grand prize will be a new car. We came up with this idea because alpacas and llamas are very similar and we both find them funny. It will be on Global TV, before or after prime time.
- Ostrich Travels
Basically, the two of us will travel the world on our ostriches being interrupted by daily problems in foreign countries. This show would be definitely unique for all audience ages. I think it would be seen on a channel like Spike.
- Pancake Wars
This show is where contestants will have to build a building, monument, or place (chosen out of a hat) with pancakes. With each round, one group will be disqualified and the rest will advance. The prize will be free pancakes for a year provided by Perkins. This would show on food network, before prime time.
- Groovy Juvies
A new and exciting show where juvenile delinquents will have to compete in a dance competition to win their way out of jail. This will show on A&E during late prime time.

How Google Docs Can Help Me
Google Docs can help me by allowing me to work at the same time as others, on the same thing. Anywhere in the world, as long as there is Internet connection. My mom can't drive, so sometimes I can't get places. With Google Docs I don't have to be in the same room as my group. It helps me by allowing more than one person work on something at the same time. Google Docs also automatically saves the documents, this helps me because I have the tendency to forget to save things. With Google Docs I don't really have to worry about saving. I don't have a cellphone so it makes it more difficult to stay in contact with people. I also don't get the Internet without asking a parent for them to turn it on. Which will make it hard to use Google Docs, but it will be easier because I now have a reason to have the Internet on. Google Docs also, helps me by allowing me to choose who I want to see my work, not just everyone. It makes thing a lot faster and easier to do, instead of emailing every person in my group.

My favourite scene from the book " private gams" is when Knight and Cronus battle it out on top of a building. Cronus was going to blow the building up and all the thousands of people around it, including himself. This is my favourite part because its part of the climax, but near the end of it. I didn't understand though how Knight figured it out soo fast. The whole reason I read this book was to find out what would happen at the end of the games, and this scene tells you exactly that. I am now finished reading the book and am starting to read "to kill a mockingbird", so all my next blog entrys will be with this new book.

The author James Patterson writes some chapters in first person, some in third omniscient and others in third limited, in his book "Private Games". For each characters POV that he writes in, he changes whether his writing is formal, informal, or casual. He switches point of views from Knight to Pope to Cronus and sometimes to the Furies. Cronus has a formal language, more so than Knight does. Some things that Pope says are formal but other times they are more informal. The novel is organized into divisions of a prologue three books and an epilogue. It could also be organized in chronological order. The story goes in the order of the events. I think the author did this because he enjoys writing differently and he gets to learn how to write many different ways by writing in so many different ways. It makes reading a lot more fun for the audience, for they get to experience different writing styles. for example when it's in Cronus's point of view they write"Darkness falls on London, and my old friend hatred stirs at the thought that my entire life has all prelude to this fateful moment, exactly twenty-four hours before the opening ceremonies of the most hypocritical event on earth." His writing is very formal there.

"Those angry voices drew me, and as I went toward them I felt my old friend hatred building in my head, irrational, urging me to slay somebody. Anybody." (Patterson, 45)
I chose this quote because I really liked the way the author wrote in the point of view of the antagonist. I like this because you can see what he/she thinks. I also chose this quote because it explains how the antagonist is not right in the head, by saying that he hears angry voices. That could also be that the author is using it as a way of explaining how the antagonist feels. This quote is important to the plot of the story because it helps explain whats going on in the antagonists head. That there is some whack reason for him to destroy the modern Olympic games. It lets us into the head of the antagonist Cronus. The author uses synaesthesia in this quote when he wrote about the voices being angry and him feeling hatred. He uses auditory when he wrote that he hears angry voices. What drew me to the quote doesn't really have an answer because I just read some lines and chose the one that was more different, and unique. As for what drew me to this quote is that this quote is one that had some difference than others are most likely to be.

The book I'm currently reading is called "Private Games" by James Patterson, and Mark Sullivan. The story is about the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games, where there is a ruthless psychopathic killer terrorizing the games. The first murder occurred just hours before the opening ceremony begins. Private investigator, Peter Knight is called down to the murder scene, to see that a member of the organizing committee of the Olympics has been murdered with precise execution. Reporter Karen Pope, from the Sun was covering the archery column for the olympic games when she received a letter from a man calling himself Cronus. the letter states that he was responsible for the murder. He also promises to bring the games back to it's once ancient glory- destroying all who have corrupted the games along the way. Karen Pope and Peter Knight will have to join forces to stop this criminal genius... before it's too late.
The book takes place in London, England during
the time of the 2012 Summer Olympic Game.
The setting doesn’t remind me of anything other than London, England,
where it actually takes place.
Peter Knight is one of two main
protagonists. He is tall and has light brown hair. He is also described as
having an appealing face. Peter Knight is brave, smart and caring. He also
likes to work alone, and to get things done fast. He has two kids, a girl named Isabel and a boy
named Luke or also called Lukey who are twins.
Peter Knight works for Private, the world's most renowned investigation
firm. Private is currently working as security for the 2012 summer Olympic Games.
Karen Pope is the second protagonist,
the author does not describe what she looks like except that she is flat chested
and is attractive in the way that Renee Zellweger is, from Bridget Jones Diary.
She has no kids and has never been married. Karen Pope grew up in a football (soccer)
family, and works for the Sun a news paper
company, in the sports department. She
is supposed to be covering archery for the Olympic Games before Cronus. Though
she would rather do gymnastics or football, as that is something she
understands and enjoys.
